원광대학교 한의과대학 한국전통의학 연구소
설립목적
한국 전통의학을 계승 발전시키기 위하여 1989년에 설립되어 30년동안 전통의학의 과학화, 세계화, 정보화를 목표로 각종 학술세미나 개최, 논문집발간, 국내외 학술정보 교류 및 지자체와 관련사업 등을 추진함으로써 전통의학에 대한 과학기반을 토대로 근거중심 연구를 수행함으로서 희귀질환 및 난치질환을 극복하여 환자들의 건강증진과 삶의 질 향상에 기여하는 것을 목적으로 함

연구소장 인사말
한국전통의학연구소를 방문해 주신 여러분을 진심으로 환영합니다.
저는 원광대학교 한의과대학 한국전통의학연구소장 권강범입니다.
우리 연구소는 1989년 6월 설립된 이래, 한약재의 과학적 표준화와 근거 기반 한의학 연구를 핵심 특성화 방향으로 삼아 꾸준히 발전해 왔습니다. 한약 소재의 기원 확인과 품질 표준화에서 출발하여 비임상·임상 연구를 거쳐 실용화에 이르는 전주기 파이프라인을 체계적으로 구축해 온 것이 우리 연구소의 가장 큰 강점입니다. 이러한 연구 역량은 관련 기관과의 인증 협력 및 산업체와의 공급·개발 계약으로 이어지며 실질적인 성과를 거두고 있습니다.
급변하는 의료 환경 속에서 전통의학은 단순한 과거의 유산이 아닌, 현대 과학과 융합하여 새로운 가능성을 열어가는 미래 의학의 보고(寶庫)입니다. 본 연구소는 기초와 임상을 아우르는 다학제 융합연구, 산·학·연 협동, 혁신 의약품 및 건강기능식품 개발 등 다양한 연구 활동을 통해 국민 건강 증진과 삶의 질 향상에 기여하고자 끊임없이 노력하고 있습니다.
