신계 내과학 교실 Department of Nephro-urology

신계내과는 한의학 오장의 장기 중 신과 관련된 질병의 원인과 진단 및 치료를 연구하는 분야이다. 신계내과학의 영역은 서양의학의 비뇨학, 신장학, 내분비학, 남성과학, 노쇠학 등의 범주를 모두 포괄하고 있다. 특히 최근 인구의 고령화가 사회적 문제로 제기되고 있는 우리나라에서 신계내과학의 중요성은 더욱 강조되고 있다. 따라서 신계내과학에서는 주로 요로질환, 신장질환, 전립선질환 및 남성성기능장애, 노인의학 및 내분비질환과 각종 퇴행성질환 등에 대한 이해와 한의학적 치료 능력을 배양하기 위한 이론 및 실습을 교육하고 있다. 아울러 이러한 질환에 대한 치료효과를 높이기 위한 많은 실험적 연구 및 임상 연구를 실시하고 있다.

The Department of Nephro-urology at the Wonkwang University Oriental Medical School focuses on study and research on the disorders relating to Shen (腎) in Oriental Medicine. The scope of study and research includes urology, nephrology, prostate disorders, sexual disorders, geriatrics, endocrinology and degenerative disease. Especially, the importance of the department is being emphasized recently as the population of the aged person is being increased outstandingly. The education program in this department is primarily designed to provide outstanding training and clinical ability to understand and control those disorders through academic training and clinical practice. To achieve these goals, all the faculties and staffs also continue to research to enhance therapeutic efficacy on the disorders.
