진단학 교실 Department of Diagnostics

진단학은 사진(四診), 변증(辨證) 및 의안(醫案) 등에 대한 연구를 하는 학문 분야로, 올바른 진단을 해야 올바른 치료를 할 수 있기 때문에 진단학 분야는 한의학 임상에 있어서 가장 기본이 되는 학문이다. 진단학 교실에서는 특히 사진(四診)의 이론과 실습에 대한 교육과 연구를 체계적으로 진행해 왔으며, 또한 한의학 고문헌 중에서 맥경(脈經), 진가추요(診家樞要) 등과 같은 진단학과 관련된 문헌을 번역, 정리하여 과거와 현재를 잇는 교량 역할도 하고 있다.

Dept. of Diagnostics of Oriental Medicine studies a process of gathering information through the four examinations and classifying the information according to the various methods of pattern identification, and focuses on the theory, principles, diagnostic methods and treatment modalities that are an essential part of the practicum of Oriental Medicine. It is intended to not only provide the background and theoretical framework for the students to understand the viewpoint from which Oriental Medicine starts in its understanding of human health, but also gives the students systematic insight and practical information to permit meaningful application of these principles. In addition to, such the original texts on Oriental Medicine as Pulse Classic and Pivotal Essentials for Diagnosticians have been already translated and published.
